Join the Messy Plaid Weave Along!
I'm so excited to announce that I'm launching a weave-along video series on YouTube, with the first project starting on April 15th, 2026 — and I'd love for you to join me!
The project is the
"Messy Plaid" scarf. Plaid cloth, by definition, features a pattern o
f intersecting horizontal and vertical lines (stripes) that create a check or tartan design. By using hand-dyed variegated yarn for both the warp and weft, the result is a stunning, one-of-a-kind messy plaid.
April's weave along will feature yarn from Latah Valley Fiber Co. in the Centennial Trail colorway — with lovely shades of green, blue, and brown that are absolutely perfect for spring. Just picture the brown trees beginning to sprout their green leaves against a bright blue sky. These colors capture that feeling beautifully.
The weave-along will include a step-by-step YouTube video and is perfect for beginning weavers!
Supply List:
- Rigid heddle loom with a 12 or 12.5 dent heddle
- 1–2 skeins of hand-dyed yarn in fingering or DK weight
- Scissors
- Threading hook
- Flexible tape measure
- Sewing clips
- Tapestry needle
- Waste yarn
- Craft paper or warp sticks
Gather up your supplies and head over to the Jenerated Designs YouTube channel and subscribe so you won't miss a thing! The first video drops April 15th and will be an introduction covering all the supplies and how to get set up for warping the project.
